Social networking is all about presence,
The Wishing Tree is findable in lots of places, I won't claim to be as good at it a some of these old experts but hey we are all on a learning curve.Facebook is a good place to start, it will go thru your contacts e-mails and tell you who is already using it and invite them to hook up with you, start with me if you like...kepp your profile open so all can see it, but don't get to personal.
Twitter, brilliant platform in real time, easy to find your way around and get to know loads quick with things like #followfriday follow me and then just go into my followers and follow some of them and see where it takes you, addictive ? yes,
There are loads of other things you can do too, but someone else can jump on that and you can only do so much in one day
