FHTM explained in plain words

use sugar as our subject . A person buys a ton of sugar , paying 10 p per pound in weight .

Then he/she sales this sugar to other investers for 25 p per pound . They then sale their

sugar to others for a profit , promising they will also profit from the deal . Soon there

is no profit to be made and the last investers get stuck with their stock , unable to sale it .

This is pyramid selling , and is illegal in the UK and USA .
