This Community is intended for Micro & Small Businesses. Whilst there are lots of web sites out there giving advice, we thought it might be nice to try and create a community where everbody can exchange their views and hopefully help each other. So for it to be a success it does rely on you all contibuting and taking part.

You cant not have seen the recent news about personal data being lost yet again by government, and the wonderful buy on e-bay of a server with thousands of personal contact details.
But does it matter? If it is your business details that are lost, if it was your client confiential details?
Of course it does matter, not least becuase the Data Protection Act puts a few requirements on us all, and small businesses are loosing around £750 million a year through Internet scams and hacks.
So it makes sense to meet your legal obligations, but also to have a proper Disaster Recovery Plan in place.
