  I have noticed the general trands in the jewellery market heading strongly towards branding, and people arent put off by overpriced brands just have a 'name' on a fashion item. It seems that actually quality of the item is also put aside.

  One would expect that a good brand offers good quality but this is sadly seldom the case with many high end fashion brands.

  As far as my customers go I am noticing a definite growth away from classical styles and a strong surge toward more contemporary designs. People are also begining to experiment more with semi-precious stones and more vibrant colours and larger pieces.

  Trends, along with fashion is a matter of personal taste and not everybody loves to be different, some people feel more comfortable and secure being in the norm.
