    Fliers, postcards, mail drops, e-marketing, phone calls, signs, adverts, newspapers, car wraps, folders, brochures, pens, shop windows, internet, websites, seo... they all contribute. traditionally making phone calls and networking were the strongest media for getting new instructions but nowadays with so many emerging media, iphones and web applications what are the best forms of marketing for an estate agent?

    Having been involved in marketing campaigns for various Estate Agencies (some resulting in National industry awards), we would say that the single most effective method has to be a distinctive and memorable sales board which stands out from the rest.

  • Great estate agent publicity

    I'm not an estate agent but I did see a nice promotional trick last year.

    A local estate agent sponsored a 10km run in one of the villages. As well as the usual posters and promo tent at the event the bit I really liked was that they used their For Sale signs as mile markers.

    This kind of local sponsorship helps reinforce the feeling that the agent was part of the community and the innovative use of the boards generated discussion.
