Blogging - Increase Your Blog Links
If you want to increase the number of people who link to your blogs, add your blog addresses/s in this community - and then link to everyone else who has listed. That way everyone gets to improve their blog exposure. Thanks! Elaine www.mykitchenstore.co.uk My blogspot is: mykitchenstore.blogspot.com

Do You Twitter?
There is much debate out there right now questioning whether 'blogging is dead' (which would be a bit of a shame given that many of us have only just worked out that it is alive!). One of the reasons for the debate is the emergence of Twitter ( www.twitter.com ) .and a number of other similar services So what is Twitter? Well Twitter might best be described as a microblog . It allows your to create a dialogue with other twitterers using posted messages in a similar way to a blog - but one of the most significant differences is that each of your messages must be a maximum of 140 characters. When you first sign up, it seems a bit bemusing. What use can a post of 140 characters be - and what are you going to say in it? But you will quickly find as you grow the number of people you 'follow' and develop more 'followers' to your own twitter, that it has some significant advantages over the traditional blog. One of those advantages is the ability to distil, gather and review information in bite size pieces . You will find that the people you are following will post brief information and links to other sites in their posts – and you will do the same. Essentially you are getting short, sharp and quickly digestible review of the third party site upon which you can make a rapid decision about whether it is of sufficient interest to click through. Which beats having to find it and read it yourself. Another bonus is that RSS feeds mean you can auto transfer your other blogs onto Twitter via a feed site called Twitterfeed. So you can set up a feed from your bttradespace blog (and many others) so that the material automatically appears as a message on twitter with your followers receiving a quick overview and link to click through to if they choose. You can also send messages via Twitter to and from mobiles , so you can maintain your communication flow wherever you are which is a potentially powerful communication tool for companies with people out on the road...

RE: Do You Twitter?
I concur Twitter is fantastic.
If you struggle to keep upto date then either installing Twirl or the Flock toolbar are Excellent as you only need to go to one place to update and find out what everyone else is upto!

RE: Do You Twitter?
I started Twittering a couple of weeks ago. I like the speed of it - you can get instant answers to questions and I've made some great contacts already. I think the secret is not to try and follow absolutely everyone back - only the relevant or interesting ones or you end up with hundreds of updates at a time to plough through.
